Congratulations mate! I've got my own RSM 500 coming in 4 weeks, so I'll be following your thread with great interest.
Please make sure that you make all the mistakes possible, and that you document them for us, so that I can avoid them :yup::yup::yup:
Just kidding, best of luck!

And don't listen to David about aquascaping frequencies, you don't have to do a full reshuffle until 5am in the morning every 4 weeks......

That's great Jeff as it sometimes gets forgotten and is a source of air bubbles. Which side do you have the skimmer outlet? Also thinking about it I have my return pump siting on a bit of foam. Hth

Latest measurements:
Temp: 30.6 °C
SG 1022.0
pH 8.5
KH 7.6
Ca 360.0 ppm
Mg 1300.0 ppm
NH3/NH4 0.0 ppm
NO2 0.0 ppm
NO3 4.0 ppm
PO4 0.08 ppm

I definitely need a chiller, at the moment I keep the lights off.

There's lots of activity in the tank, especially when the lights are off. Crabs, bristle worms, barnacles, amphipods, brittle stars, stomatella, etc. Also bubble algae. I'll try to remove the crabs, bristle worms and bubble algae, but it's a challenge.
