How to get eel out of hallow fake rock

I just got a spotted Morray the other day and he has managed to find an opening in a fake rock I have in the tank. The rock has other holes in it, some of which I have sealed up if they were big enough for my puffer to get in. The reason this is a problem is the rock itself is not extremely large and Bill Morray cannot be comfortable in there whatsoever. I also am building a cave for him at this very moment. My question is what would be the best way to get him out safely? I plan on sealing the rest of the “large” holes on the rock so this isn’t a problem in the future. Need him out first though obviously.

If you feed the fish, can it come out? If so feed it and remove the fake rock. Only if the fish is trapped inside and can't get out should you use more drastic measures.
