how much Seachem Purigen

can someone please tell me how much Seachem Purigen i would need in my steve t media basket thank you i have a red sea max 130d 130 litres 34 gallon

are you using the pouch or did you buy the bottle (loose)? You can just throw the bag in, as it covers tanks up to 100 gallons. Otherwise, I would make half a bag which I believe would be 50ml?

Hi All,

Where would you recommend putting Purigen and CPE in a stock RSM 130D?

Can it just go on top of the stock sponge that sits above the skimmer pump?

imo - this allows for optimal flow - in the stock setup

Thanks for the link Glenn - and forgive what's probably a dumb question that follows. You took the bag of bio balls out of the COD, put that green plastic grate down on the bottom, and place your bags of CPE and Purigen on top of it just so they don't sit on the bottom?

That is correct :) I wanted the water to pass more through them & not around, similar to StevieT media rack or that was the idea ;)

The RSM stock setup (Red Sea suggestion) is bio-rings & carbon sitting on top.
