How much do clown fish eat anyway?

I just bought two clown fish yesterday. I fed them just a pinch of flakes and watched. They ate it right away within 1 minute and was still running the top of the water looking for more. Fed them a little more and they ate it all. Fed them a third time. Then fed them dried brine shrimp. About 4 hours later fed them flakes not once, not twice, but thrice. Then brine shrimp. Then mini sinking fish pellets. They finally stopped at another serving of flakes.
I've heard fish will stop eating when they're not hungry but this is ridiculous. I've never seen fish eat so much. They're little stomachs looked full. Is this normal?

Mine will eat 'til they looked like they swallowed a marble! But, don't fall into their sad clown eyes...they don't "need" that much.

Yeah, that's really just creating waste in your system... Fish are naturally opportunistic feeders, and thus will eat until they physically can't eat any more.

A small pinch a couple times per day will be more than enough
