How Long Can You Store Salt Water

I would like to make up a large amount of water and store it. Can I leave it in the brute I made it in? Does it have to be stored at any particular temperature. I would like to keep it in a closted container on my screeded porch...I live in South Georgia. Do I keep the power head running?

YOu should be able to keep it for a few months, I would mix it for a day uncovered when you add the salt, then shut it down and cover it, then maybe mix it for an hour uncovered when you want to use it or a portion of it.

I have stored it for over 6 weeks with no problems at all in sealed 5 gal. jugs.

If you are going to do this add an air pump with an air stone to it to bring the ph back up.
