Interesting. My worry is that it would pick up little tiny bits of sand and then end up scraping the glass. This happens with the regular mag-float. If you get any little bit of sand in there, and then swipe the glass, the sand can scratch the glass.

Pretty fast thing.

Oxy- that happens to me often trying to get algae down by the sand line with my magnet cleaner.. how do you go after algae without picking up sand and scratching?

This is the sort of device you get when you have everything and want a new toy. At $200 or $250 depending upon the model, you can get a lot of other algae cleaning gear.
