Hi I'm new to the hobbie...

I just set up my first saltwater\reef tank. My tank is 29 gallons and has 30lbs of live rock and live sand...I was wondering if anyone out there is welling to help a newbie out...lol

. Yes, definitely. Start a thread in Reef Chronicles. There are many people here who can help you along the way. Also search any questions you have on this site, as many people have already asked the questions you have. I also am new to this (less than 1 year) so the only advice I have is one I learned the hard way.....Take your time. Patience is the biggest factor. Oh yea, and research.

They look to be "feather dusters" which are harmless and add a bit of unique diversity to a tank.

No doubt. It is certainly a great starting point. Having a few beneficial hitchhikers only adds to what is already there.

once the tank "cycles" you can add living things... cuc, (clean up crew - snails) 1st fish and 1st corals
