Recommended tank size is 100 gallons however, so I maybe should withdraw that recommend...it would be find for a long time IMO, but...

Although they tend to show brighter coloration with a harem they will do fine by themselves. I have a Cirrhilabrus rubrimarginatus and when I bought him he was a sub-male but has matured and his coloration has intensified with no females, so if you get a supermale you should fine. There are many other Fairy wrasses that are as beautiful and not so pricey.

I hope you realized in my earlier post that I was referring to the post about damsels when I said "aren't they for cycling". (Not that I ever cycled a tank with any fish).

Thanks to everyone else who made suggestions. Boomer, I'll have to rethink the yellow or purple tang as well.
