Help! Is my torch coral dead?! - resolved

I ordered a torch coral a couple days ago and it was not in good condition when it arrived. The water had the worst stench I have ever smelled and was brown! It is all white and has no signs of life! Can someone please help me!
Thanks, Wyatt

Most likely it's dead, but corals sometimes make remarkable recoveries. You only need a small section to be alive and you have a chance.

Put the coral in the tank and give it a day. Then give it the smell test. If it's dead it will smell really foul. In that case, discard it.

Thanks I did just what you said but it looks the same, it has no smell though.
