Help - Cleaning Used Tank

I just purchased a 55g tank that I will be using as a sump. It has quite a bit of correlline in it. What type of cleaning solution and method should I use?

Thanks/Ron

White vinegar and a stiff brush usually works for me. You could fill the tank up with fresh water and add about 2-3 gallons of vinegar and let it soak. That will help loosen up the coralline and make it easier to get off.

If it's glass you could also try scraping it with a razor blade.
Don't try it if it's acrylic. It will just scratch it.

I've heard you can use an ice scraper for your car windshield to scrape off coralline.

I think that would equate to the same thing as the aquarium scrapers rated for acrylic tanks. Should work fine, except I think the ice scrapers are curved a little bit to match the curve of the windshield.
