Dartfish should be ok but don't get too many. They do best usually in trios. I wouldn't recommend a tang for a 28g?correct?. You could do it but with a tang but when he gets too big for the tank you would need to trade him out. They need lots of swimming space.

is a mini-tang ok?

there aren't really any TRUE mini tangs, especially not ones that will fit in a 28 gallon tank...there are some tangs that are tiny as babies, but you'll have to take him out really fast. So it's kind of pointless.

You absolutely, positively can't go wrong with a royal gramma! One of my all-time favorite fish. :)

Never had an aggressive one. I've heard they don't mix well with firefish because of the "family" resemblance though.

Edit: Same with bicolor blennies, another favorite of mine!

What I had in my RSM 130 before my ich outbreak was:

2 Clown fish
2 Banggai Cardinals
1 Yellow watchman Goby

Now I only have the 1 Clown fish and Goby. I have tried to get a Royal Gramma through the QT process twice but none of them have made it.
