Hello! So I have always wanted a marine reef aquarium and I'm finally getting it! Or have it in progress anyways. Super excited and I welcome any thoughts and feed back. Thanks in advance for all your help, support, and advise

Ok, so I've been checking my water every other day and the only parimiter that changed was my nitrates. Everything else was fine. I was concerned that my amonia and nitrites didn't change so I went to my LFS and they said "that's what good rock should do". Yay! But since my nitrates are so high I need to do a few large water changes and I should be good to go for a clean up crew. I'm sure y'all already know what I should do but just bare with me. Here's a picture with all my new algae growth. Yum yum!

Hi! So I did my giant water change and my parimiters are great. Went to LFS and got 3 turbos. Wanted to make sure that everything is ok and they survive for a week before I add anything else. They are beautiful!

Not to worry, those look more like copepods to me. Do you see them moving around somtimes?
