FishTaleZ New JBJ 24g Nano adventure

Hi everyone!
Starting a new SW adventure after a 2 year hiatus.
I had a great 14g Oceanic Bio cube 2008-2010 where I had to place it in storage due to a move.
I decided to resurrect the little guy and planned on upgrading the lighting in 6 months with LEDs. I saw a perfect tank to fit my needs - a JBJ 24g - All LED lighting.
So into a 2 week cycle with the 14g I ordered the new tank and stand. :bigbounce

So here some pics of the old and the new.
I tested the water parameters yesterday a day after the new set up and today and received the same results.
SG - 1.024
AMM- 0
Nitrates -0
Nitrites -0
pH - 8.0

I'm sure it may have to cycle again (?). Any advice? I have no CUC yet and wondered when I should order.
Well - more important here are the first pics!

Whoo Hoo! Coral day everybody! :whstlr:

I added 2 corals to the tank last week, but not worth taking a photo. I purchased a green neon chalice and yellow toadstool.
Today I received:
Blue and Red Mushroom
Daisy Coral
Kaleidoscope Clove Polyps
and Zoas (solar flare, gold dust, cherry bombs, techno blast and mind benders)

I'll take more pics when they fluff up a bit.

Today I received my CUC squad. And I do mean squad! I ordered from Reef Cleaners and I must say they exceeded my expectations! The little critters, once acclimated went right to work and didn't even ask for a lunch break!
I admit that my tank is clean right now and I may have to provide some type of supplement. Any ideas?
I was thinking of throwing something like a shrimp in there but that will spike the tank all over again. So advice is needed from the experts.

Even though the tank has the white and blue LED lights the photos come out blue. But then again I am taking the photos from my IPad. I'll post better photos when the Corals spread and the tank looks better. Happy viewing!

Awesome rock!!! Don't worry, the algae will come and feed your cuc. Cool sand by the way!!!!! I'm looking forward to watching its progress!!!!

Thanks Maprik - In my 14g I started with crushed coral which had a lot of algae (but then again I did not have the appropriate CUC) So I exchanged the crushed with Pink Fiji sand. Worked well. For this tank w a little more experience and a lot of reading I decided to go with Tahitian moon. I read about it and use a magnetic cleaner for middle and top and Mr Clean scrubber for the bottom, last inch and it seems to be fine (so far and my tank is new) I will be on vacation for a week in Gettysburg for a week for the 150th year so I won't stock anything else until I return. Happy Father's Day to all!!!!

Finally found a decent LFS in the area. About an hour away in Glen Burnie MD which has a large variety of SW fish and coral. Yesterday I picked up an orange plate, pink birds next, another Black and White Ocellaris and a Gold head Goby. Here's my latest pic. Please let me know what you think. I'm liking the way it turned out so far.

It's been about a month since my last pic, so here is a new one taken today. I added a couple more zoas and chalices. I feel that I have plenty and will just let everything mature. I do have a golden head sleeper goby that is too shy for pictures, so I may be able to capture him one day with the camera.
In my old tank, the 14g that I had years ago I struggled with hair and an unknown type of algae. I also had a lot of coralline in the old tank. This tank is so clean and clear of any algae. I don't know why I don't have any coralline except on one one piece of lr, but I don't really miss it. Enjoy the pic.
