Ever Scratch the Glass On A RSM With a Flipper

I just purchased a flipper algae brush that has both a steel blade and a plastic blade. Should I be concerned about scratching the glass using the steel blade? The instructions say it should be fine on glass but would prefer to hear from those who have been using it.

IMO, it depends in how you use it. By scrapping the glass with the metal blade flush, no scratches will occur. But be careful of the corners of the metal blade. If you happen to be reaching into an area where it is a little hard to get to, and the blade isn't flush to the glass, those corners can scratch the glass a little bit.

Otherwise these are great. Better then the magnet velcro ones, which can get sand grains stuck in them and they really do scratch the glass.
