How can I get a duster warm off of the rock cause he is stuck to a big rock and my purple tang keeps knipping at his tube and I'm gonna put him in my refugium

Yeah I'll probably have to move the whole rock to my 30 gallon tank but there's a bubbletip anemone on the rock and there's a clownfish hosting so how can I get the bubbletip off of the rock

Other than moving the whole rock, I think you're out of luck. If you try and chisel his tube off, you'll most likely kill it.

+1 - I wouldn't try to pull or remove the tube, you'll most likely kill it.

Here are a couple of articles that you may find interesting to read on feather dusters:

If the tang disturbs it enough, the worm may decide on its own to move and build a new tube.

If you do move it, don't take it out of the water - transfer it in water from the tank to the sump, as any air trapped in the tube can cause issues to the worm.
