Copper treatments for black spine sea urchin ???????

hi everyone me again I've set up hospital tank to treat the dreaded velvet disease
Just few questions I have a black long spine sea urchin and an oyster I need to leave my main tank fallow to allow the velvet disease to go through its cycle and die...... I'm wondering if copper treatment I'm going to use in my hospital tank is going to kill my urchin and oyster ?? Or doesn't the velvet disease affect the urchin and oyster so I'd be able to leave in main tank any help would be great thanks

Inverts cannot tolerate copper your urchin will not make it.

hi just as i thought do you think they eould b ok to dtay in fallow tank ?? would ich or velvet disease affect them ?????

no ich will not have any affect on inverts that i know of

Urchins and crabs are armored, so ich/velvet cannot infect them. Oysters and filter feeders will eat the free floating stages, so no they arent in danger.
