Circulation pumps in 130D problem

Hi guys I just bought a RSM 130D. Installed everything and went to turn it on. Every thing works fine except if I turn on both circulation pumps at the same time. Then I hear a cracking noise and the pumps dont seem to work. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix?

It could possibly the water level is not high enough. Also at the times I've had to turn them on and off a few times and then they will work fine

on your RDM 130D try this... raise the surface skimmer cup in your display tank to 1/4" from it's top position & add sw until it almost touches the hood arm trays - also give this a try... take a turkey baster & blow some water in the output nozzles of the pumps...
