Can someone recommend a HOB protein skimmer?

I am compiling my equipment fro my 20g Long. I've heard the skilter's are not very efficient and they are noisy. And when do I add my skimmer?

What is a good HOB skimmer?
Should I have a refugium?...and if so, how?

I do want to set it up to accomodate anything FOWLR, corals...

I got the Reef Octopus BH 2000 as a back-up skimmer for my tank, It's to big for what your doing but there are smaller models. I was very happy with it while it was up and running. Good luck which ever way you go!

When I had my CPR on my 30gal I loved it. In fact I don't use it anymore. If you want it I'll sell it to ya.

I've used the bak pak and it required too much maintenance to function properly. i'm using an AquaC now with good results.

I'm using the Aqua C remora on a 50 gal and it produces lots of yummy skimmate.

Tunze makes very good internal skimmers, which IMO are much safer than hob skimmers which can overflow onto the floor. That said, Deltec makes an amazing hob skimmer. There are two models, the mce300 and mce600. The 600 is an amazing skimmer and has the nice feature of being overflow proof.
I have used several of the tunze skimmers and the Deltec mce600 and I would recommend any of them.

I have used many CPR products, and while I like their refugium products, I feel as though their skimmers are very sub-par.
