and tonight my percs finally hosted the 2 rbta. very cool to watch them get all excited while the other fish were checkin' them out. the chromis were hovering real close to the action. it looked like they wanted in too. but they thought better of it.

Thanks everyone. Most of those images where taken with a canon 100mm 2.8. The body is a Canon Rebel XTi.

well the lastest news with this reef is i've lost about half of my fish to velvet or brooke. i'm not sure which. the prized achilles tang, maori wrasse, all but 1 anthias, swallowtail angel, kole tang have all died...my nice percs are still alive but not eating. in fact all remaining fish re in a hospital tank being treated with meds. so yeah the other day with the help of nick and dave we drained the tank, pulled the lr and corals and captured all the fish.
we'll see what happens now. i'm really hoping that the percs survive but i'm not expecting that to happen.
anyways it is what it is and it's one reason this is a hobby!
i'll keep you all posted on the outcome

yeah loved that achilles! i'm not sure how the disease was introduced. the achilles was the most recent addition but came established from a healthy tank. there's been on/off bouts with ich though.....any ideas?also, no certain diagnosis of what the disease was. but it was deadly and ugly

I ran into something like that where I didnt know exactly what it was, thought it was ick, but everything that I did didnt work and it ended up winning, it was strange...
