bc 29 question

i have a bc 29g with a custom top i made. i have stock 36w 10000k pc and 36w attinic.added 6 3w 12k leds and 2 6w 14k leds with 2 450lum leds. i am thinking about ditching the pcs and getting a buddies 70w mh for 60 dollars and keeping all the leds. will this be better lighting for my sps i have now. i am going from 72w of pc to 70w of mh. please help.

It may work better. But what you need to worry about is the heat. Now the reason it may work better is it is all the "daylight" spectrum without the atinic. I am not sure how you have your top set up but if it is not already then vent it with fans before using the MH light. Shaun

and are you running a pendent? or what? and what LEDs are you running? I know you said "6 3w 12k leds and 2 6w 14k leds with 2 450lum leds" but what brand?
