Hi All,

I have a quarter size tuft of this stuff growing in my frag tank. I'm almost certain it's bryopsis, but the fact that it's very very blue has me a bit unsure. It's very tough and does not pull off the plastic very easy.

In any case, I have been meaning to make new FT racks and now it looks like I have some motivation today.

Oh no... That doesn't look good. It does indeed look very similar to DianaKay's recent Bryopsis outbreak. I'm not the expert though, so I'd wait for a more experienced responder.

I have read that the best way to get rid of it is to raise your mag up 2 about 1600 and manually remove it. The high mag is to keep it from coming back. I have not done this and its just what I have read. Others might have had it before and could help. I might even just remove what ever its on

Hey all, thanks for the advice. I have found a better way to remove it. Make new FT shelves and the throw the old one out.
