AI SOL question

Has been struck by the ban stick
I'm not ready to move up to LED yet but I have been thinking about it. I have a 48" long x 24" deep 90 gallon. 1. How many AI SOL units would I need. 2. Would it look weird if I used one White and one Blue? I would like to be able to support just about anything.
When I do take the plunge the budget would be around $800, $1000 max. If I do a DIY how many LEDs do I need?

To answer your question on the AI sols 2 units will do. You can do the white and one super blue but your k spectrum will look different on each side. Better to go with all white or super blues. On the diy someone else will have to chime in on that answer.

1. I have six on a 96" tank, in your case 3 will work good.
2. With the Super sol blue you can go full white or blue white combination within
the same module, no need to get a white alone and a blue apart.

I have 5 sol blues on my 72" long 32" wide i think, they look great. I would go with the blues also. you can tune the white, blue, and royal blue to give the desired look.

+1 I use 4 super blues on a 60" long tank, I would think 3 would work for you.

Why are you thinking different modules? As has been said, 3 super blues can be adjusted for different spectrums.
