The Purple Monster has white polyps.
It looks to be some type of Valida. When it grows up some you will get a better idea. It also looks like a fast grower to me.

oh yes Valida rings a bell from what I recall the person I got it from told me, can't wait till it grows up. I also have to get it off from that ugly square plug thing. lol
