325+ heads pink Australia Whisker Duncan Coral colony for sale or trade

Hello All,

I have this amazing Duncan Colony for about 3 years now, it has 325+ visable countable full grown heads, and 500+ babies under each large polpys. The color is pink, purple and vivid green. My camera could capture the real exact color, but at least it shows the size.
As you know duncan cost about $10-15 per head retail. I am only asking for $1250 for the whole colony. If anyone decide to get this colony and frag it for sale. You are looking at $3250 just for the larger heads alone.
If you have a huge colony of Dendrophyllia or a couple of dendro colonies, let me know maybe we can trade and make it work.
I offer USPS next day express shipping for $125 plus $10 for insurance national wide. Except Alaska and Hawaii. Just the colony itself is weight about 15+ pounds so with water and the box, 30 pounds will cost $140 to ship. Local pick up is available as I live in the Los Angeles County, CA.

You are doing something VERY right there! WOW! Amazing looking Duncan colony. :thumber:

Thank you very much, I love this colony so much and I am so pround of this center piece. But for the past 6 months I have been fighing in my mind whether to sell this colony or not, because of over growing and over shawdoning. Now today, I really have no choice but to sell it or trade it. All my scolys were move from underneth is, I had move all the surrounding coral, but finally I ran out of space. Plus I believe my system is going to overload if I continue to supply the food just this colony needs. Anyone interested?

I really like it but its way to expensive for me. You'd be better off fragging it and making more money as you said.

What is a more reasonable price for you?

I really don't have the heart to frag it myself. It's like I had a baby chick and watch it grew for 3 years. Now its fat and juicy, there's no way I can cut it up and sell it for parts or eat it myself. I hand fed each polpy twice a week for 3+ yrs. I love this colony so much. I would rather have someone else treasure it like I did.

I see what you are saying, i can bare spend 100 dollars on things right now with college down my throat lol I was just wondering why you didn't want to frag it because it seems you'd sell it easier but I get it now.

I totally agree about "not wanting to frag it". I'm the same way about my Hammer Coral. Fact of the matter is that it's VERY difficult to sell a "Show Piece" unless you take a beating and all but give it away. It's one of those items that just the right person at the right time sees it and "Must Have It!". Have you talked to your LFS about putting it into one of their display tanks on "consignment"? I'm doing that later this week on 3 of my coral colonies. I don't have the time or space to frag them out and anyone who makes an offer down-right insults me. The next person that offers me $25 for an 85+ head Hammer coral is going to wake up with Aptasia in their underwear!!

Seriously check into the consignment thing and don't forget about Craigs List! I've sold a LOT of coral on Craigs List.

Alright here we go. I really need to sell this colony, it is really overtaking my tank. I am willing to accept a lower asking price. If you are interested in this colony, please pm me with your reasonable offers.

Also I am droping the price of this colony to $950. That's $300 off from my origianl asking price!
