We used to use the windex but someone told us to stop immediately so it's just sitting under there now. We use water only now to clean it. And yes these fish are so fun to watch they all have their own little personalities!

Last thing and I will shut up. I have been shopping for lights and I think I want a pendant style 400 watt 10K Metal halide.

My question here is can you concentrate reef growth to one area of the tank? In other words say I got this light and put it shining down on some of the live rock on one side of the tank. Would this work the same as if you covered the tank with light? Also, Is this the correct type of light? We are looking to order some assorted zoos and experiment, although not sure if our filtration or lighting is up to par.

I think the red, could be red turf algae, do the tangs nip & eat it? If so, Mexican turbos love it.

You would need more than one halide (I think) 400w is fine but you will not have the coverage and even if the light is just in one spot it will somewhat delute in the rest of the tank.
