130d chiller plumbing

Can I use one of my return pumps to pump thru a chiller and back to the outlet nozzle, or do I need a separate pump? I have replaced the stock pumps with eheim 600s. I would imagine that 6 feet of hose would reduce the flow a bit.

IMHO no the pump is to small...

Eheim Compact 600
160gph
4'4" Max Head1/2" Hose

You really need to pick your chiller then find a pump to support it's flow requirements.

Others with 130s with chillers will jump in to help how they did theirs. Good luck!

i put an eheim compact 1000 in next to the heater, works well

Eheim 1000 as well in same spot as aus. Even with the 1000, it is on low side of flow range my chiller calls for but works well.
