Not sure if I'm been paranoid here but my skimmer on my 130 seems to (hopefully been paranoid) be playing up, Only seems to skim crap now and again with the bubbles in the actual skimmer body itself only bubbling away just below the skimmer cup when not skimming crap.
It always used to bubble up the skimmer (half way up the skimmer cup most times), I've tried to adjust the turny knob with no change in the way the skimmer acts also.
Hopefully the above makes sense
I've had the skimmer and pump ect all apart and cleaned everything in hot water but makes no difference.
