Complete 9 year old established setup must go...

I'm in Milwaukee. I know there are probably a lot of Chicago area reefers out there who could make the trip up. I know they do for Brewers/Cubs games! I won't even hold it against you if you are a Cubs fan. (c:

Complete 9 year old established setup must go...

I haven't been around the forums for quite a while and coming back here has brought back a lot of memories of my adventure in reefing. I started out over at the Reef Aquarium Guide forums and moved here when it started up. I've spent most of my night reading here and am really looking forward...

Complete 9 year old established setup must go...

Some pics of the setup are at the link below. Sorry the quality isn't so hot. My camera battery was dead, so I had to take them with my phone, but they're not bad for phone pics. Check my comments on the pics. My lack of proper maintenance lately has resulted in growth of the coralline on...

Complete 9 year old established setup must go...

I wouldn't ship the setup other than dry goods parts left after it is broken down. You're not too far away. I would certainly help with break down and loading if you drove up here and may be able to come down to help you unload and do some setup. I took some pics and I'll try to get them up...

Complete 9 year old established setup must go...

I've been dreading having to do this for a while, but it is necessary now... I got into this hobby about 9 years ago and have enjoyed it sooo much, but my poor tank has struggled due to my lack of some maintenance over the last couple years and I will be moving soon and simply can't move the...

    here's something cool...

Very cool piece of ancient, and at one time living, history! How big is it? It's hard to tell without a reference point.

It's spring time, let's see some OT pics...

I'm an amatuer compared to you guys, but here are a couple shots I took last weekend. I'm so happy to now have a camera with a decent macro mode!

Pulsing Xenia for sale or trade

No takers, eh? Okay, I've got to clear some of this out. All frags $5 each. I'd give them away, but I have to pick up some more rubble LR for them to spread onto. I am, of course, still open to trading a frag for a shroom or something... If I don't have any bites here, I'll try the Frag...

    Feeding Royal Gramma

I don't know if it's common or not and I never really thought to ask about it, but my Gramma also seems to get more excited about flake food than frozen foods. Hmmm...

Pulsing Xenia for sale or trade

Pic for ya. It's bright pink and pulses like crazy. I started with one little stalk with 5 pulsing heads on it and put it on this little peak. It grows like crazy and splits into several stalks and hangs from the peak until I cut one off and move it to the other side of the tank.

Pulsing Xenia for sale or trade

Hey all! Haven't been to the boards in a while and I kinda miss it. I've been really busy in the last few months, but not too busy to keep up on my tank maintenance. Everything's been working out well for my tank - in fact, too well! I've eliminated my hair algae problem, but now have...

    Happy Birthday deanerk and aiserock!

Thank you all! I've had a wonderful evening with my fiance who , by the way got me new bulbs as a birthday gift! Love her! We laugh about about the fact that I'm the only one she'll ever know who will get excited about light bulbs as a birthday gift. I know you guys understand... Thanks...

    Xenia that has stopped opening

I just started fragging my xenia and I found that they can be very sensitive to changes in flow when they get moved. They'll stay closed up for a while until they adjust. In low flow I get nice little pulsing pom-poms and in higher flow I get little pulsing umbrellas on longer stalks. Was...

    Craziest LFS prices

My LFS has crazy prices on dry goods. They want $259 for a BakPak II skimmer that can be bought online for around $120. They still do have the best looking corals and fish locally though, and the staff is very friendly. I buy livestock and foods and other small things there even though I can...
