Yet ANOTHER skimmer thread...

Sorry folks, but skimmers are always a hot topic :smirk: !

I have the Sapphire Aquatics AP24 skimmer installed in the back of my AquaPod 24. It seems to do well but I have NEVER been able to get rid of the microbubbles in my tank when its on. It was MUCH MUCH worse when it was brand-new until it "broke in" but it never went to zero suspended bubbles. I just learned to live with it and, in fact, I mentioned on this site that I actually resorted to putting it on a timer to only run at night so I woudn’t have to look at the mess it creates. I’m not crazy about that, though; I’d much rather run it 24/7, but if I do, then my tank will look horrendous with all those bubbles floating around…

What are my other options? Is the Sapphire Aquatics AP24 the ONLY skimmer that will fit in the back of my tank (behind the rear baffle)? If I get away from this skimmer, do I have to resort to a HOT skimmer as the only other choice?

Thanks,
John

there has to be a way to adjust either the water flow or amount of air going in, try and post a pic if possible. Steve
