Yellow Tang Eats Crazy Glue

About 4 days ago, I re-glued a frag, seemed simple enough, done it 100's of times.
Right after I let go of the frag, my YT went over and took a bite.

And yes, he now has crazy glue on his mouth. That's very bad news!

The good news is while stuck to his upper lip, it has not affected his behaviour in any way, still can eat as if nothing was there.

He's a year old in my DT now, very strong, and is top of the chain in my Eco-system.

It appears I can do nothing at all and hope that.....

A) he can continue to function as normal.....been 4 days now.....?????
B) through growth, this will fall off......????

I can't think of anything I can do to help him.

Any comments?image.jpeg

Good advice Pancho75 and thank you Humblefish.

It does not “appear” to cause him any grief. When I first seen it I thought he glued his mouth shut, or enough to slow respiration or prevent eating, this would have meant certain death.

I am hoping as he grows it will become less stuck to skin and he will knock it off himself, or as you said Humblefish, just fall off.

I am hoping that as he grows, the surface skin will fall off and be replaced with new skin underneath.

When I introduce tangs, it’s always at the same time, I find less friction so if he does not make it, it will be quite difficult to add just another YT, the BT will likely have a problem with that.

Hoping that’s not the case.

Will post when something happens
