Wrong membrane for RODI

Hi, I just replaced the membrane on my Rodi unit, but I ordered the wrong one, and got a membrane rated for 24gph instead of 50.

It's running slower than the usual one, tds is showing 0. Anyone know if this is going to be ok or what to expect?

I would have returned it but I really needed to make water.... I've been buying distilled for a week now.

The membrane will work just fine, but as you see, you'll get less water out of it.

Actually this isn't as bad as it sounds. The membranes that produce less water often produce water with a bit less TDS out of the RO unit before you run it through the DI part.

The big factors are that you'll create more waste water, and that it will take longer to make a given volume of water.

Ideally you should replace the restricter with one that's the proper size, but in this case, it's going from a 50 gpd to a 25 gpd membrane, so it will not make too much difference.
