Am losing the rest of my sanity and setting up a 75g. My questions are
1. The tank has some wet live sand in it, with coraline, shold I wash it? pitch it? or just fill it? It has been sitting for 3-6 months
2. Refugium, good suggestions for a powerful PS
3. returns, one or two (considering one with koralia)
4. what size return pump (how many gph)
5. will need to stage my LR purchases, so will I need to watch for mini-cycle each addition?
6. Best choice for lights (comes with 2 PC at 360 watts, but I want MH)

any other suggs would be helpful, will post pics when I pick it up (saturday):bluenod:

Congratulations, controlled insanity is the way to go!

Personally, I would keep the LS based on how old it is. 3-6months old is good, 3-6years I'd replace it all together.

2. Refugium, good suggestions for a powerful PS
ASM G1X is a great in-sump skimmer.

3. returns, one or two (considering one with koralia)
You'll have better control and wave function with two.

4. what size return pump (how many gph)
Gernerally 10 times the tank volumn, so a Mag8 (800 gph) would be adequate.

5. will need to stage my LR purchases, so will I need to watch for mini-cycle each addition?
Yes, there will be a mini-cycle whn you add anything. It's mostly a matter of how big the cycle.

All the best! :clink:
