will these metal halide work?

Hey yall,

I have a question.
I have bought 350 Watt metal Halide Light Fixture-120,208,240,277 V
I have attached a picture of it....I hope it works.
So if I get the UV glass and seal it would this work?

Do you know the color temp of the lamps? The preferred corrected color temp is between 10K and 20K...

You really do not need UV glass for those kinds of bulbs, as they are Mogul mount bulbs with a Borosilicate outer envelope. Since those are industrial high bay luminaire lamps they will not meet the more or less minimum daylight color temp of 5,500 K. However, they will work as it is output or PAR and not K that is the most import issue for growing corals. Most of these types of bulbs have K value of 3,800 - 4,000 K. Color temp or K is a personnel choice thing. We used bulbs like these in the olden days to include Mercury Vapor.
