White milky growth

Anyone have any idea what this growth is? It looks like hair algae but it is lighter in color almost translucent. It is only growing on the back side of the rockscape, where the lights cannot reach.

Is it slimy to touch ? Jelly like ? Pic looks a bit like cyno bacteria ? Often occurring in low flow areas first. So not so much light dependant as flow dependent. I recently had an outbreak and always assumed cyno was red , like most pictures show but trust me it comes in brown & green too. I had green. Eewwww yukky lol. Or the green could be coralline and the white is where It has died off ?

It looks flowy like hair algae would. What kind of algae eaters do you have for a cuc?

It might be marine fungus. It grows on rocks mostly, but can grow on the glass of the tank. You can try to clean it out by siphoning it with your next water change.
