white algae?

I got these small, soft white branches on a live rock a while ago, which I assume is algae. Since then they have grown all over this rock and neighboring rocks. I want to know what they are, because I can't find any reference to alga like this.

Google some pics of vermetid snails and see if that looks like what you have. Kinda hard to tell for sure without a good close-up.

Foraminiferans, they're good and will lesson in number over time.
