What's this on my snail????

Git new snails today in the mail. I noticed some of them have these pulsating mouths (lol) on their shells. See pic below. What is this?

definitely barnacles,strangely enough they are a crustacean not a mollusc,the aperture opens and they wave their legs in the current to trap food
