whats good to cycle the tank?

Hey guys whats good to cycle my bc 29 I have about 12lbs. of live rock but going to add some more this week just set it up on monday. should I add damsels or something else beside damsels. thanks for the advice also about the sand I asked couple of days ago?

add a deli shrimp in a basket or in some nylon

It is really best not to use live fish to cycle a tank.
They may survive but it is really hard on their system. Plus everyone I know here ends up wanting to get rid of the damsel after they start adding other fish because the damsels are just so damn mean. Then you will have to take your tank apart trying to catch the damn-sel.

Nikki is right.
Just use one or two raw deli shrimp and let them decompose in your tank.
you will get a great cycle started that way.
