what to do?

I just switched from a 10 gallon to 16 gallon tall tank. I went bb on this tank. I have two mag 7 pump for flow. one is a straight tube pointing down, the other has the flow directed to the surface. My problem is i have alot of particles suspended in the water that does not appear to be going into the overflow. from the overflow it goes to the sump, which has a filter floss pad in the drip tray. What can i do to get rid of the particles in the tank? Do you think this may clear up after a couple days or is there something i should do?

As long as you have the Powerheads stirring the water, the particles should eventually be removed by the overflow. It is better to have the particles in the water column, than on the bottom. If they are in the water column the will be removed.

So do you think the filter floss is enough to pull the particles out or should i get some other kinda of pad.
