So I got a new tank and it came with a bunch of plumbing myself and the seller did not know how to use.

Thank came with two holes drilled into the bottom on the overflow in the back.

I'm going to list everything my order from top to bottom

1. bulkhead on bottom and elbow on top.
2. tube
3. not sure what this is
4. bulkhead with little tube thing

HOW DO I USE ALL THIS :(

The setup came with a sump but I'm not sure which part goes where.

my best guesses.

5. Part 1 goes into one side and acts as a return pump?? do I thread a return tube through it??

6. Part 4 is attached to the tube and goes backward on the other side as the overflow

7. This is where I confused myself. Part 3 attached really well to part 4 with the tube on it but it makes no sense to me...Is that part of the overflow that drains to the sump??

If I'm on the right track please let me know. If the parts are totally in the wrong places please let me know. I have no idea what I'm doing XD

You can refer to each part by their numbers or the name if you know it.

Please help me!!

Bottom picture is correct best I can tell. Standard standpipe configuration. Some unsolicited advice? Don't reuse your bulkheads and probably ditch the pool hose. The PVC stuff is probably in good shape but don't' risk your floors or tank buddies over a few dollars.

I'm more curious about the tank... looks like a beast. What dimensions and thickness?

The tank is 37" across 19" width and 32" tall. I wanna say 3/4 of an inch thick?

+1 on getting new bulkheads. That is a Durso style standpipe http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ has a description of how it works and how to assemble one. Basically the water flows from the tank through the piece with the grate on it down through the bulkhead and into the sump then you have a pump at the other end of the sump that goes up through the other bulkhead and back into the tank, usually on the return you have loc line so you can point it where you want the flow.
