My two nems do this every so often. They start the day out normal when the lights first come on. Then as the day goes on they flatten out like in the picture below so that their mouths are exposed. The mouths have never opened, however. They are always tightly closed. They just kinda flatten out and the tentacles become less bubbly and longer along with the mouth showing. When they do this they cover more space than normal (they kinda seem larger when they do it). I researched a little bit but i couldnt find a clear answer on that karensanemone.net site.
