I'm not totaly sure this is the right answer. But I noticed that my tank was allways kinda cloudy or dirty. Had lots of particulates in it all the time. I added a cloth bag of charcole under the foam in my refusion and it cleared it up right away. Now it stays as clear as at my local store.
