Veterans Day

I realize today is Election Day, a national holiday where a lot of us don't have to go to work. (Yes I voted) But this Friday is Veterans Day. Veterans Day, to me is the most important day because if it were not for Veterans, we would not have Election Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, The Fourth of July or any other American Holiday.

Please thank a Vet when you see them.

Most younger Americans don't realize why they have this wonderful free country that we here in the US live in.

I put this short film up last year for Viet Nam Veterans day but I am sure much of it covers all wars.

It is very hard for me to watch it, especially the second part.

I can't believe you get election day off! It only takes lie 30 minutes to vote and you can do it weeks ahead of time. Maybe I just need to get a cushie government job :)

I agree with you Paul on everything about our veterans. I'm not one, I'm not from a military family, but every time I watch the news about this country committing genocide or that country taking over another, I know it is our strong military that keeps it from happening here, and has prevented anything like it on our soil for many generations.

That being said I made sure I voted for our new commander in chief today!

I myself worked as a construction Electrician in Manhattan. We got election day off but most people didn't

Thank you for your service. My father is a Viet Nam Vet, my brother is currently serving along with several other extended family members as well.
