Very sick royal gramma

Hi,

My royal gramma, who is normally so active, sociable and hungry, has gone into hiding in his usual sleeping hole and wont come out even at feding time. I've checked and double checked water parameters, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, PH between 8 and 8.2 and my 2 clowns and blue damsel seem ok and feeding well. Been doing daily 10% water changes for 3 days just in case. He just pokes his head out but even if I feed brine shrimp he doesn't want to know. He is starting to look very dark around the head area, eyes still bright, no cloudiness, I cant see any discolouration on his body but there is a distinctive white line, like a vein running across his face?

Any clues as to what the problem could be? Many thanks

No nothing at all, no discolouration that I can see. My blue damsel is acting a little strange, patrolling around where the gramma is hiding but we have never had any bullying issues and they've been together in the tank about 4 months - could it be bullying? But would this cause the gramma to starve itself?
