Unexplained rapid fish loss.... Help.

Re: Unexplained fish loss....

Did you have a sea cucumber or sea apple?

Neither.

I was off Friday so I didn't see this, but my office staff reported to me now that the top of the last fish looked like it had been dusted with sugar. Which is odd because it was clear of parasites on Thurs and was still eating heartily. I haven't seen parasites of any kind on any of the fish I lost.

This is the first this has been seen because typically we have just found the body in the morning being consumed by crabs.

+1 on running carbon.

You have enough water surface agitation to exchange gasses?

Re: Unexplained fish loss....

For sure. Between the overflow gate, the skimmer, and the hydror rotating return nozzle blasting the surface on each rotation, it should be more than enough.

To our moderators, could we have this thread and the thread pointed to by the OP merged, so all the replies to the problem are together and information not duplicated?

It appears that someone has "merged" the two threads. If I've missed it drop me a PM and I'll take care of it.
