I can get it at a good price. do you guys think it will be to much for my 65 gal
I have about 13 fish some softies and lps corals about 30 all together. this is the skimmer I want because of its foot print and size. I just want to make sure it is not over rated because the are rated up to 396 gal. let me know what you guys think.

I use the DOC 9005 skimmer in sump of my 55g and it does a great job for me. You have a lot of fish so the larger skimmer (9015) may be a good idea.

I run 2 9010's on 200 gallons of TSV. The only difference between the 9010 and 9015 is the skimmer cup size. They are a great skimmer, though the construction would make you think otherwise.

I think it is very difficult to get water "too clean" by using an over rated skimmer. You should be ok. I wouldn't run one on more than 150-200 gallons to be honest. The primary challenge with the 9010/9015 is having enough water in your sump to allow it to work effectively. They must be mounted in sump and be submerged.
