I've been using the B-Ionic system for several years. Since I go through it non-stop, I buy the gallon size and dillute the concentrate.
My trouble of late is that the gallon jug of Component-1 (Alkalinity) has been rock solid in the last three purchases. I tried to use one, pounding it with a wooden spoon, but not getting it all dilluted. I bought another set and it, too, had a ROCK for Component 1. So I returned it to the LFS and ordered a set from Marine Depot.
The Marine Depot set of gallon concentrates arrived yesterday and it too had a rock solid Component-1.
So what gives? Since we are talking about water chemistry here, I know I need the concentrate to fully dillute.
Any tips out there for getting the rock to dissolve?
