Deli shrimp in last Saturday....today a week later I'm getting spikes in nitrites and nitrates. So happy that this time around I have decided to take it slow and just let nature takes its' course. I've had tanks off and on my whole life, and I've never taken it slow....for anyone just starting out with a marine tank, forget what the fish store tells you and listen to the advice you will receive on this forum....who knows how long it will take my tank to cycle, bit I don't care....past few days the tank smelled bad, today I notice no smell, which means the "stuff" is getting processed and broken down naturally. I'm digging it....I know I will have fewere problems now down the road, and I'm speaking from experience....take it slow.
