Too funny Bob.
Maybe he caught the buy one hermit get one free with his preffered club card?

Saw a PHENOMENAL mantis at one of the LFS.
8-9" long.
Camo green pattern on the front top.
Orange antennae and fins on bottom ending with red fins on the tail.
$120.00.
It was love at first sight. I'm leaving it at the pet store.
$120!!!! I'll grow my own.

I had a Mantis Shrimp that was a HH from TBS, he was pretty cool! I wish I could go back in time and get him back, I was afraid he would break my tank, he was almost 2 inches, and someone said its like taking a .22 to the glass if I keep him. I gave him to the LFS in trade for something else...

I may set up a mantis tank soon and get my buddy to order one for me...

The above video was pretty cool, this guy put music to it nicely...enjoy

My LFS has a nice Mantis specimin. Its about 4 inches, they want %59 for it, do you think thats a good price? After learning and watching all these videos I think I want to build a tank just for a Mantis.

Mantis #2 was very friendly this evening and most interested in my finger.
She came all the way out to the front of the tank to check me out. All that separated us was the acrylic. She did not try to strike my finger like she does when I bring the wooded skewer to her hole to feed her.

I'm purple with envy. I didn't know they came in that color.
Beautiful. Glad she's friendly too.
Put her in the shrimp photo competition!

Well I can now officially be a member of the mantis club. I got this guy about 4 5 days ago and he is such a hoot to watch, very intelligent. So far he will eat krill and shrimp, and the occational Nass. snail that I have been tossing in from my DT because they breed like crazy anyway. He is in a 3 gallon tank and seems quite content, he is a green so he is pretty much full grown.
