Maxx Well-Known Member Mar 13, 2005 #3 Go to petsmart and pick a couple of boxes of the new fluval cannister filter sponges. They are rectangular, about 12"x2"x1" and only cost about $3.00 for two in a box. Buy 3 boxes, rotate the sponges every 3 days to avoid nitrate build up. Nick
