I have a Tunze 9002. It's seems OK, but given all of the newer nano models out there these days, I was wondering if anyone has since upgraded and found one that is even better?

Point is, you want to have more controll over the airflow in the skimmer and increase airflow. When you open the skimmer you have the L-bend in there. The video suggest to remove it and instead lead an air hose out of the skimmer instead. By doing so and after some time this will get narrowed, too, since the PVC hose will harden and get bended, too. PVC loosing the softener and you will end up having the same problems. Replace the L-bend with a wider one, close the skimmer. Close the inside hole of the skimmer, where the blue screw is, with some silicone or something else. Remove the blue screw and instead use some sort of connection of your choice to add an air hose there. Lead out the air hose with an air valve you can- reach easily outside the tank. There is really no need to fiddle with the inside of this skimmer. One tip though, you don't have to replace the L-bend of this skimmer either, but if you notice the skimmer being less 'productive' in foaming, clean this L-bend since it really does tend to cloak up with crusted salt.
